The Full Story
About ME
Hi! My name is Christine and I am a 20 year old avid food enthusiast living in Singapore. You may be wondering... Why The Dance Flour? The word "flour" in The Dance Flour is a play on the word "floor"! As the saying goes, opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor. By eating and travelling, I hope to gain new experiences and tastes!

Why I love eating & cooking
Growing up in a family which loves and breathes food, I have vivid memories of my mum cooking scrumptious food every weekend. My mum would often let me be involved in the prep process, and I slowly grew to love cooking and baking. I still remember baking a pizza from scratch in our old house. The delicious food I grew up eating would be the reason for my appreciation towards the food served to me today. Moreover, Singapore's multicultural kitchen has given me an extensive taste bud. I like all kinds of foods! Sour, spicy, sweet, savoury, numbing... Give it to me 😁, I'll devour it. If there's one food I could eat everyday for the rest of my life, it would be Sambal Sotong. It's spicy, sweet and charred. Texture-wise its chewy! Of course, I'd only eat it everyday if there are no health implications 😉.

Why I love travelling
I am someone who loves to go on adventures and gain new experiences. You never know what could be awaiting across the border! I treasure experiences over material goods because I get to take away memories I make with loved ones ❤️. I've gone on plenty of road trips to Malaysia, and driving up is always an enjoyable ride since my family and I will jam to music. One of my most memorable trips would be a school trip to Vietnam. I got to interact with locals, create fun memories at the cruise at Halong Bay. Most importantly, the food we ate were all excellent for the price we paid🤭. A place I would love to visit is Korea and United Kingdom as I want to learn about the history and try their wonderful food.
