香港新口味 Chee Cheong Fun: A hidden gem in Geylang East

Authentic chee cheong fun for an affordable price.

I have been patronising 香港新口味 at Geylang East for as long as I can remember. The chef is from Hong Kong and makes the best chee cheong fun on the spot. While it is cheap, its quality is on par with the chee cheong fun that you can find in dim sum restaurants.

The taste

The prawns that Chef uses are fresh, and the rice rolls are silky smooth and thin, they glide down your throat without much effort at all. The sauce that the chee cheong fun is doused in is the perfect balance of sweet and salty, with it being more on the salty side.

What I like most about this chee choeong fun is its thickness. It is thin, unlike other places and it gives it a silkier texture in my opinion.
