Feast on Harry Potter inspired food at Platform 1094

I am all for new experiences, so when I found out that there was a Harry Potter themed cafe in Boon Keng on TikTok, I just had to make my way down! Besides, I love Harry Potter and watched all the movies multiple times 😳.

Ambience

Upon entrance you will be transported to Hogwarts with the music and decor! The atmosphere felt magical, and I sensed that everyone was excited to be eating there. I saw families celebrating birthdays and taking photos at the photo booth. I joined in the fun too.

Many of the customers were dressed in Hogwarts coats! It definitely added to the atmosphere in the restaurant. The decor was giving magic.

Food

My first impression of the cafe was already good, so I hoped that the food they served would be just as magical. My friend and I ordered 2 main dishes and a side dish.

Crab Meat Aglio Olio - $20

Not gonna lie, the smoked salmon convinced me to order this. I am a huge lover of smoked salmon and I could eat it everyday.

The pasta was more on the wet side as it was soaked through with the "sauce". While this is an aglio olio dish, I felt that the crab meat flavour really shined and worked well for it. The smoked salmon also paired really well with the pasta. The portion is also huge. I'd order this again.

Beef Balls Pasta of the Great Hall - $18

My friend ordered the beef balls pasta and it came along with deep fried enoki mushrooms. This has a pomodoro pasta base and I found this dish delicious overall. The beef balls were beefy and the fried enoki mushrooms was a unique addition. Prior to this, I had not tried fried enoki mushrooms before, and I felt that this gave the dish more textural depth.

Dragon Milk Cheese Sticks - $9

Now, you must be wondering... What on earth is Dragon Milk? Well, I found out that it's honey mustard mayo 😂. These cheese sticks won't disappoint. The cheese is good and stretches as it should. The dipping sauce pairs perfectly with it as well. You will not go wrong ordering this.

The Great Verdict

Visit for the ambience and one-of-a-kind experience! The photo booth and food made this restaurant memorable for me. The price was also affordable. There are also potion drinks which provide experiential dining, but we missed it this round.

I wish to go back to try more of the experiential dishes 😉
